Investment Opportunities in Indonesia

The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Manila in cooperation with the Cebu Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Inc. will be holding a seminar on Trade & Investment Opportunities in Indonesia on December 9, 2005 (Friday) from 9:00am to 12:00 noon at Waterfront Cebu City Hotel, Celebes Function room. The seminar aims to introduce the Indonesian business climate and investment opportunities that could best promote mutually beneficial investments and other forms of cooperation between the business community of the two countries. It also intends to present the existing policies, regulations, requirements, trends and other information that are necessary in pursuing business interest in Indonesia.

Topics to be discussed are the following: Investment Opportunities in KAPET SASAMBA, Eastern Kalimantan Province, Indonesia; The Potentials in Increasing Indonesia and Philippine Investment Cooperation and the Indonesia-Philippine Business Prospects. There will also be a cultural presentation to showcase the cultural heritage of Indonesia and to promote its tourism.

The Philippines and Indonesia share a common vision of commitment to economic growth and development. Indonesia for its part is now trying to create an atmosphere conducive to achieve a level of growth to ensure development leading to employment and prosperity. The Philippine business community remains Indonesia’s partner to set-up a unique and productive interaction for a stronger relationship. There are so many opportunities available to enhance the bilateral cooperation between the two countries that remain to be tapped towards a fast-growing and promising economic region in the world.
