SWAC Board of Directors

The Spas, Salons & Wellness industries in Cebu have elected 7 Board of Directors during their formal organizational meeting & election of officers of Spa & Wellness Association of Cebu, Inc. (SWAC) last October 5, 2005.
SWAC was established with the support of the Cebu Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Inc. as a result of a grand-year event organized by CCCI called the Beauty, Health & Wellness Show 2005 (BHW Show 2005) which aims to let the community know & appreciate the wellness industry in Cebu.
The following officers of the newly formed Spa & Wellness Association of Cebu, Inc. are:
President : Mr. Johnie C. Lim - Body and Sole Franchise Corp.
Vice President : Mr. Alfredo T. Uy - Bodytune Day Spa
Secretary : Dr. Dana-Ruiz Sesante- Ruiz Derma & Spa
Treasurer : Ms. Katherine King - Prana / Regency Spa
Auditor : : Mr. Benjamin Smits - Sawadee Health Spa, Inc.
PRO’s : Mrs. Vicky Huseby - Huseby’s Barber Shop & Beauty Salon
: Mr. Johnny L. Siao - The Spa
The newly elected Board of Directors will have their luncheon meeting this coming October 12, 2005 to conceptualize their Mission & Vision statement. SWAC membership forms will be distributed to SWAC members on the same day at 2:30pm during the BHW Show 2005 meeting. With the new set of officers, SWAC is set to embark on more vigorous programs for the association that will put forth tourism at the forefront of Cebu’s development. This is in tandem with CCCI’s Beauty, Health & Wellness Show 2005 that will elevate the Spa industries competency towards making Cebu as the Spa & Wellness capital of the country.
The association will now compare the compensation range & benefits given to their employees. SWAC can also give certification that will accredit employees of their member-companies being a therapist who wanted to work abroad. In this way SWAC member-companies can now be considered as “Job Banksâ€. This is the first priority project of the Spa & Wellness Association of Cebu, Inc.
