More LTO-7 offices reopen in GCQ areas
CEBU, Philippines — The Land Transportation Office (LTO)-7 has opened six more offices in Cebu after these were temporarily closed two months ago when Cebu was put under Enhanced Community Quarantine.
Now that Cebu is under General Community Quarantine (GCQ), LTO-7 has reopened starting yesterday the Lapu-Lapu City District Office, Mandaue City Licensing Center, Danao City District Office, Talisay City Extension Office, Cebu City District Office and the Carcar City District Office.
LTO-7 Director Victor Caindec said that many clients have already transacted with these various offices.
“Open na tanan atong offices. Mga tao dili kasabot sa social distancing nga order. Masuko dili pasudlon. Libog lagi ko ngano naka-license nga di man kasabot,” Caindec said.
Last May 16, the Danao City District Office, Medellin District Office, Toledo City Licensing Center (Balamban), Carcar City District Office, Lapulapu City District Office and Lapulapu City Licensing Center (ICM) had also opened.
Some LTO-7 offices that are located in areas under GCQ have opened since May 13. These include the City District Office, DLRO ICM Tagbilaran City and Talibon District Office in Bohol Province; Dumaguete City District Office, Bais District Office, Bayawan District Office and DLRO Robinsons Dumaguete in Negros Oriental.
Meanwhile, LTO-7’s Epatrol Mobile Service started its operation yesterday in Tuburan, Cebu.
Epatrol will continue to serve the public by issuing student permit, renewal of motor vehicle registration, renewal of driver’s license and printing of the five-year driver’s license card.
As posted on its Facebook page, the LTO-7 said these services are made accessible for Tuburanons from June 8 until further notice. This will be open during business days.
Epatrol is a one-stop shop where one can process their emission testing, insurance, medical and drug testing. GAN (FREEMAN)
