CEBU, Philippines – Three suspected drug personalities were arrested by personnel of the Minglanilla police station in two separate buy-bust operations Saturday night. Around P342,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized from them.
Around 9:30 p.m. in Sitio Panaghiusa 2, Barangay Tunghaan, Minglanilla, police arrested Jaylou Magallon, 32, a resident of the said place, after conducting surveillance on him for a week.
Before he was arrested, Magallon sold a poseur-buyer a small pack of suspected shabu in exchange for P200.
After his arrest policemen frisked him and found several more packs of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, and P800 believed to be drug money.
All the drugs found on him weighed 22 grams and was estimated at P259,600.
Chief of Police, Superintendent Dexter Calacar, said although Magallon was new to the drug business he is already considered a high-value target based on the volume of drugs he could sell in a week.
About an hour later, policemen in Sitio Bantayan, Barangay Tungkop, Minglanilla, arrested Lenwel Tudiot, 24; and Gretchen Quimada, 31, both residents of the said place, after they sold drugs to a poseur-buyer.
Policemen recovered seven more packs of suspected shabu as well as P600 believed to be drug money from Tudiot.
The drugs recovered weighed seven grams and was estimated at P82,600. — /BRP (FREEMAN)
